REQUIRED ANNUAL TRAINING!

4 HOUR CLASS "G" ANNUAL RE-QUALIFICATION COURSE - PRICE $95 to $155

The State of Florida requires all armed security and armed private investigators to qualify annually to maintain their Class "G" Statewide Firearms License. The Certificate of Firearms Proficiency for successfully completing this training class will need to be submitted to the Division of Licensing to satisfy the annual qualification requirement. Failing to complete this required training during the required time period will result in the officer needing to retake the entire 28 Hour Class "G" Armed Security training Course.

CLASS DESCRIPTION

Class will include a review of updates to Florida Statute 493 and 5N-1 FAC along with any other relevant information. A review of testing subjects and a 25 question written examination. You will be required to fire at least 48 rounds of ammunition during the State mandated course of fire for Firearm Qualification. Only 1 attempt to pass the written examination is allowed and a maximum of 3 attempts are allowed to qualify on the range, however qualification will conclude with the students first passing score. A minimum of 70% is required to pass both the written exam and qualifying course of fire (minimum 168 out of a possible 240 shooting score)

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT

A duty type firearm that holds at least 12 rounds of ammunition. If you do not own a suitable firearm one can be provided. An outside the waist band holster, No concealed carry holsters. A belt that will hold your holster, 3 magazines that hold at least 12 rounds of ammunition, holders recommended. Range appropriate attire including a ballcap. Closed toed shoes, No crocs, sandals, slides or flip flops. NO tank tops, low cut or sleeveless shirts. NO sweat pants, sweat shorts, athletic type short, yoga pants or jeggings. Shorts are Ok as long as they accept a belt, cargo type shorts and pants are best.

CLASS PREREQUISITES

This class is intended for currently licensed Class "D" and "G" security officers and Class "C" or "CC" and "G" private investigators and interns. If you do NOT possess a valid Class "G" Statewide License you will need to first complete the 28 Hour Class "G" Armed Security Training Class and obtain a Class "G" Statewide Firearms License from the Division of licensing.
